WIMO CMIPR is based on PC104 hardware, custom Linux 2.6 Kernel and an implementation of the Mobile IP stack which allows seamless handover across wired and wireless networks. An extended range of connectivity is offered through HSDPA/UMTS/E-GPRS, Wifi, 10/100 Ethernet interfaces.
According to Adalia Holding's CEO, Paolo Monasterolo, "Our solution is easy to integrate in any telecommunication environment and it is compatible to next generation networks such as Wimax. The choice to use Linux Kernel allows our customers to develop customized applications to be built in the X86 system core." Based on custom-made Linux core, it offers:
