Radyne Receives $4.0 million in Amplifier Orders

PHOENIX, Feb. 2, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Radyne Corporation (Nasdaq:RADN) announced today that its Xicom Technology subsidiary received orders totaling $4.0 million for power amplifiers for a follow on procurement for the Ground Multi-Band Terminal (GMT) and World-Wide Satellite Systems (WWSS) programs.

The Xicom power amplifier order supports an early portion of the ongoing GMT program which has planned equipment deliveries spanning the next five years. As previously disclosed, the GMT program has a potential for Radyne to receive an additional $60 to $80 million in modems and power amplifier orders over the next 3 to 5 years.

The WWSS $5 billion contract vehicle supports all federal communications missions, including disaster relief and homeland security efforts. The five-year program is jointly managed by Program Management Warfighter Information Network-Tactical (PM WIN-T) and Program Management Defense Communications and Army Transmission System (PM DCATS), and is a vehicle for the Commercial SATCOM Terminal Program (CSTP). Both Xicom amplifiers and Radyne modems are qualified as part of the program.

"These orders represent a great start to 2007 for Xicom," said Myron Wagner, Radyne's CEO. "Xicom's continued growth and improved profitability is a direct result of responsively supporting our customer's needs with cutting edge products."

"We are also delighted to be part of the GMT and WWSS programs," continued Wagner. "Both Radyne's modems and Xicom's amplifiers have passed extremely rigorous qualification programs to earn a part in these mission critical programs."
