MCLEAN, Va., Feb. 5, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- The General Services Administration (GSA) has awarded Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) a contract, valued at $92 million over 48 months, to provide information technology services to support a single, secure communications network for the Los Angeles Air Force Base. The award is a task order under GSA's ANSWER contract vehicle.
Under the terms of the task order, Northrop Grumman's Information Technology (IT) sector will conduct network engineering, operations and maintenance support, help desk operations and provide software development for the Los Angeles Air Force Base's Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC). In addition, work will include maintaining existing and newly-added networks for SMC and Missile Defense Agency clients.

Work on the contract will be conducted at the Los Angeles Air Force Base in Los Angeles.
