Ahlstrom shares subscribed with option rights

A total of 56,955 new shares of Ahlstrom Corporation have been
subscribed with option rights under the company's stock option
programs I (2001) and II (2001). A corresponding increase of
85,432.50 euros in Ahlstrom's share capital has been entered in
the Trade Register today.

After the increase, the total number of Ahlstrom Corporation
shares is 45,718,692 and the share capital amounts to EUR
68,578,038.00.

The shares will be traded on the Helsinki Stock Exchange as old
shares as of February 8, 2007.
