FINNAIR OYJ STOCK EXCHANGE RELEASE 7 FEBRUARY 2007 AT 09:00 FINNAIR ASIAN TRAFFIC GREW BY A THIRD Finnair Asian traffic continued to grow briskly in January, up by 29.4%. Total Finnair scheduled traffic increased by 15.8% compared to last year. Passenger load factor was 67.0%, up 0.2 percentage points. Number of passengers carried was 588 236, up 4.7%. Finnair Group airlines altogether transported 3.3% more passengers in January with 678 519 boarded passengers. Traffic, measured in passenger kilometers, increased by 8.7%. Passenger load factor was down 0,9 points to 73.4%. Finnair's Tallinn-based subsidiary Aero AS. carried 38 916 passengers (- 37.0%) on routes between Helsinki and the Baltic capitals and within Southern Finland. Stockholm-based FlyNordic carried 74 165 passengers (- 14.3%). Aero and FlyNordic figures are respectively included in Finnair Group total figures. Arrival punctuality of scheduled flights was 72.6% (based on a fifteen minute standard), 10.0 points lower than in January 2006. Including leisure flights arrival punctuality was 70.8% (-9.9 p.p). Scheduled traffic In scheduled traffic (international + domestic) revenue passenger kilometres increased by 15.8%. The change in capacity was 15.4%, Passenger load factor was 67.0%, 0.2 percentage points higher than last year. In scheduled international traffic, total number of passengers was up by 8.4%. Capacity in ASKs was +18.5%, while RPKs increased by 17.7%. In European scheduled traffic, ASKs increased by 4.5%, and as RPKs increased by 6.0%, the passenger load factor was 58.9%, up 0.9 points from previous year. In North Atlantic scheduled traffic, capacity decreased by -4.6%. Change in RPKs was -2.0%, and passenger load factor for November was 77.2%, 2.1 points higher than previous year. In Asian scheduled traffic, capacity increase was 36.5%. The passenger traffic was up by 29.4%. Passenger load factor was 74.7%, -4.1 percentage points down. Domestic scheduled traffic decreased by 3.8% on a capacity decrease of 8.6%. Passenger load factor increased by 2.8 percentage points to 55.2%. Leisure traffic ASKs for leisure traffic decreased in January by 4.0%, and RPKs decreased by 4.4%, resulting in a passenger load factor of 93.8%, 0.4 points lower than last year. Cargo Cargo traffic increased by 4.1% in terms of cargo tonnes carried. Growth in scheduled traffic was 8.3%. Increase in Asian traffic was 21.5%. Volume in European traffic decreased by 9.7%. In North-Atlantic traffic cargo volume decreased by 0.1%. Cargo traffic carried on chartered cargo flights decreased by 26.4%. The cargo load factor was 38.4%. The cargo load factor in the Far Eastern traffic was 45.2% and in the North Atlantic traffic 76.8%.
