Delta Puts America's Final Frontier Within Reach of Everyone With Expanded Summer Schedule to Alaska

New nonstop service from Los Angeles, returning service from Atlanta, Cincinnati and Salt Lake City give customers one-stop access from anywhere in the U.S.


ANCHORAGE, Alaska, Feb. 8, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Delta Air Lines customers craving the adventure of summer travel to America's last frontier should look no further than the airline's convenient schedule of summer flights between Alaska and the U.S. mainland. With the addition of nonstop flights between Anchorage and Los Angeles, this summer will mark the first time Delta has offered nonstop service between four of its U.S. gateways and Alaska, with service beginning as follows:



 * Anchorage-Atlanta: May 23 
 * Anchorage-Cincinnati: May 23
 * Fairbanks-Salt Lake City: June 3
 * Anchorage-Los Angeles: June 7

"With returning nonstop seasonal service between Alaska and Delta's key hubs, along with new nonstop service from Los Angeles, Delta customers across the country are just one-stop away from the breathtaking scenery and environmental wonders of our 49th state," said Joe Esposito, Delta's managing director of Schedule Planning. "The seasonal service complements Delta's existing year-round nonstop flights between Salt Lake City and Anchorage, which will be upgraded to two daily nonstop flights this summer to accommodate our customers' travel plans."

Delta's added nonstop service to Alaska will be operated with a variety of 150-passenger Boeing 737, 183-passenger Boeing 757 and 250-passenger Boeing 767 aircraft, all of which feature two-class service featuring in-flight entertainment, meal service and Delta's signature snack and beverage program. The new flights are available for purchase beginning today at delta.com and are scheduled as follows:

The new service between Fairbanks and Salt Lake City complements existing year-round service between Salt Lake City and Anchorage. Also this summer, Delta will add a second daily flight between Salt Lake City and Anchorage to accommodate increased demand.
