AMANDA CAPITAL ACQUIRES PROVENTURE COMPANIES
Amanda Capital Plc has acquired the entire share capital of Proventure
companies for EUR 10.0 million. The net asset value of the acquired
companies totaled to EUR 7.1 million as of December 31, 2006. The
total consideration was paid in cash.
Proventure operates and advises two private equity fund-of-funds:
First European Fund Investment L.P. and European Fund Investments II
L.P. Both funds include foreign and Finnish institutional investors.
The acquisition will increase Amandas net sales in management and
consultation of private equity investments approximately by EUR 1.7
million in 2007. The total net sales in management and consultation
are expected to exceed EUR 3.5 million for the year. The acquired
companies generate good results.
The acquisition of Proventure is a logical step for Amanda after
expanding its operations from investment activity to management and
consultation of private equity investments over a year ago. This was
accomplished by acquiring Mandatum Private Equity Funds Ltd, a
management company of private equity funds. Amanda intends to further
develop its management and consultation business by establishing new
funds and possibly making more acquisitions. The management fees of
the acquired companies with long-term agreements bring better
predictability to Amandas revenue and result.
