Ericsson selected by Elisa to host content servicesEricsson (NASDAQ:ERIC) has won two deals with Finnish operator Elisa. The first agreement will see Ericsson providing a hosting solution for music and content downloads, while the second will see Elisa utilizing Ericsson's hosting solution for mobile TV. Ericsson's hosted entertainment and application tools (HEAT) will enable Elisa to offer subscribers mobile content such as full-length tracks, ringtones, games, pictures, and video clips. This is the result of the excellent cooperation between Ericsson and companies such as EMI, Pocket Group, Warner Music, and Sony BMG. The hosted Mobile TV solution enables Elisa to offer TV services, featuring sports, entertainment, and news video clips on demand, as well as seven live local and international channels.
