 WHY:      A $987,620 educational training grant from the Texas
           Workforce Commission for the period December 1, 2006 through
           November 30, 2007 will enable these organizations to work
           together to provide technical training necessary to add more
           than 1,500 skilled workers to the local maritime industry,
           including Longshoremen, Industrial Truck Operators,
           Clerks/Checkers, Gang and Walking Foremen, Container
           Handlers, and Yard Tractor Operators.
