Wavestream Inks Distribution Deal With Sematron, Expands to European Market

Sematron to Distribute 25W Ku-band Feedmount Block Upconverter


SAN DIMAS, Calif., Feb. 20, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Wavestream Corporation (www.wavestream.com), a manufacturer of a new generation of compact high-efficiency solid-state power amplifiers, today announced a distribution deal with Sematron, a leading supplier of RF and microwave equipment and synchronization products, in which Sematron will be a distributor for Wavestream's 25W Ku-band Feedmount Block Upconverter (BUC). The partnership gives Sematron's customers access to a leading-edge product and gives Wavestream new presence in the Sematron market.

Wavestream is the first in the industry to fit 25 Watts of RF power into a rugged, compact nine-pound package. With simple, low-cost upgrades, the BUC offers increased data rates and availability for VSAT and flyaway systems.
