ATLANTA, Feb. 23, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Nortia Capital Partners (Pink Sheets:NCPN) is pleased to announce that it's client company, Knight Energy Corp. (KNEC) has completed its first well on its recently leased 400-acre property in Stephens County, Texas. Knight Energy's well on the Lea property has been producing quality oil for the past week and has been averaging 100 barrels of oil per day during that same time frame. In addition to the oil production, there is an indication that natural gas is present as well. Knight Energy plans to drill additional well on the property in the near future.
The Lea property is part of an agreement that includes an option and "right of first refusal" to lease an additional 3,100 acres adjacent to the 400 acres. Knight Energy anticipates that it will exercise the option for the additional 3,100 acres in the near future. If this occurs, the total acres leased will be approximately 3,500. This property is in addition the original 160 acre parcel that Knight Energy has leased in Stephens County, TX. as well as the recently leased 640 acre parcel in Stephens County, TX and the 1000 acre parcel in Pottawatomie County, Oklahoma. (This 400 acre Lea-1 property was previously discussed in a press release on November 17, 2006.) William J.
