Western Heritage Insurance Company Names Michael Horsman President


SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Feb. 26, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Western Heritage Insurance Company recently named Michael Horsman president, effective February 21, 2007. He has been acting president of the company since July 2006 and brings 30 years of insurance industry experience to the position.

Prior to that, Mike served as senior vice president of Claims for Scottsdale Insurance Company, which he joined in February 1996. From 1977 to 1996, he worked for St. Paul Fire & Marine Insurance Company, in St. Paul, Minnesota, in various capacities within their claim organization. He was a Claim vice president from 1991 to 1996.

Mike practiced law in St. Paul from 1975 to 1977. He received his law degree from the University of Minnesota Law School and his bachelor's degree, with a major in Psychology, from St. Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri. He currently serves on the board of the Scottsdale Area Chamber of Commerce and is past board chair.
