COLCHESTER, Vt., Feb. 27, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Global Works Systems, Inc., a leading provider of software and service solutions to users of premium healthcare systems, announced its participation in the implementation of the Allscripts TouchWorks Electronic Health Record (EHR) for 500 physicians at Louisiana State University Healthcare Network (LSUHN) in New Orleans.
Global Works is proud to participate in the fast-track EHR roll-out at LSUHN at the invitation of Allscripts. Working side by side with implementation teams from Allscripts and LSUHN, Global Works Senior Clinical Consultant, Leasa Tvedt played a key role in accelerating the deployment. Global Works coordinates all activities related to the fast track EHR roll-out, so the project was not undermined by the competing priorities that typically interfere when in-house resources juggle existing responsibilities with the new EHR install. As a result, the first LSUHN physicians are now live on TouchWorks and physicians are caring for patients using its robust care management tools.
