Turnabout, My Love -- New Novel Highlights the Conflict Between Males and Females in Everyday Society

BUFFALO, N.Y., Feb. 28, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Love is meant to be very complicated like life itself, and no matter what we do there will always be inequality, unfairness and conflict between men and women. In the new novel Turnabout, My Love, author A.X. Baker presents an astonishing story set in New York City about a love triangle that struggles with ambition, power and revenge.

This book tells the story about a young woman named Sandy, who comes to New York City to pursue a career in microbiology. There she bumps into a chance encounter with a man and soon they get attracted to each other. Because of a commitment, he leaves Sandy without telling his name but promises to write her soon. After their chance meeting, Sandy works with Jake, a genius and a Nobel Prize recipient who turns out to be a sufferer of Erotomania (an obsessive urge for sexual activity). He manipulates and intimates Sandy until she consents to move in with him.

While working on a project, Sandy accidentally discovers a formula that gives her improved strength and intellect. By the time Andrew Blake (the man she met at the airport) returns from Central America, Sandy is now married to Jake whom she placed in a rest home, restrained and helpless. Doing his duty on psychiatric re-evaluation, Andrew examines Jake and declares him insane, only to discover that he is a past Noble Prize winner and that Sandy is using the secret formula that made her stronger. Andrew then becomes obsessed with Jake's case and Sandy then arranges to meet him, not knowing yet that he is the same man she met at the airport. The plot twists and tension grows as the story progresses. What will happen next to Sandy, Jake and Andrew? Only time can tell.

This novel highlights the conflict between males and females, and how they would react if a drastic change were introduced into their lives. Combining mystery, suspense and humor, the story takes a close look at the inequality that continues to hound society everyday. In addition, the story's subject matter is complemented by the deep character development of Sandy, Andrew and Jake, all of which are personalities that readers will be able to relate with. Turnabout, My Love is easily one of the most enjoyable books available today and you can order a copy of it by logging online at Xlibris.com or by visiting your local bookstore!

About the Author

I have written a book about things that will never happen, but possibly they should. I am forced to publish this volume using pen name for reasons that I cannot reveal. Suffice it to say that I am an individual who is possessed with an overabundance of natural curiosity. Presently I live with my beloved mate and daughter, one out of the seven children that I have begat, the others are now adults. I believe the book is enjoyable and I hope it stimulates the reader's imagination.
