LÄNNEN TEHTAAT PLC STOCK EXCHANGE RELEASE March 5, 2007 at 3;00 p.m. COMPETITION AUTHORITY MAKES AN INTERIM DECISION ON THE SALE OF MAJORITY SHAREHOLDING IN SUOMEN REHU LTD AND AVENA NORDIC GRAIN OY On January 19, 2007, Lännen Tehtaat plc and SOK subsidiary Hankkija-Maatalous Oy signed a share-purchase agreement whereby 51% of the shares in Suomen Rehu Ltd and Avena Nordic Grain Oy will be transferred to the ownership of Hankkija-Maatalous Oy. The Finnish Competition Authority has today made an interim decision on the related merger notification lodged by Hankkija-Maatalous Oy on February 5, 2007 (diary number 854/81/2006). According to the decision, the Competition Authority will initiate further investigation into the matter.
