GLASTON IMPROVES EFFICIENCY OF BRAZILIAN OPERATIONS

Kyro's main business area, Glaston Technologies, makes efficiency
improvements in its Brazilian operations by merging the local
Tamglass and Bavelloni machine factories. A respective Glaston
factory is in operation in Tianjin, China, where pre-processing and
safety glass machine factories were merged in 2006.

The operational merger of Tamglass South America, which manufactures
safety glass machines, and Z. Bavelloni South America, which
manufactures pre-processing machines, will generate synergy benefits
and thereby cost savings for Glaston.

As a consequence of the merger, the number of administration
personnel at the factories will be reduced by six. Personnel
reduction requirements related to overlaps, and the savings generated
by the merger, will be evaluated during the next few months.
Currently, a total of 87 employees work in Brazil.

General Manager of Tamglass South America, Jean-Paul Clément, has
been responsible for Brazilian operations from 1 March 2007.

In the next stage, Glaston will seek joint premises for machine
manufacturing in Brazil. The product range of the merging factories
currently consists of glass pre-processing and safety glass machines
as well as glass pre-processing tools.
