New Medium Enterprises Announces Strong Line-Up for VMD Optical Disc Replication Lines

Industry Leaders Join VMD Discussion Panel at MEDIA-TECH

LONDON, March 5, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- New Medium Enterprises (NME) (OTCBB:NMEN) today announced that Axxicon, Dr. Schenk and Netstal will join world-leading integrator and replication line manufacturer VDL ODMS as the official VMD ODMS universal replication line partners. A VMD multilayer disc is a technology breakthrough that stands to revolutionize the optical storage industry. Axxicon, Dr. Schenk and Netstal are leaders in their respective fields of mould manufacturing, testing and scanning, and injection molding.

"We are excited about the high calibre of manufacturer partners that will be involved in the integration of the VMD replication lines," said Mahesh Jayanarayan, CEO, NME, Inc. "Their vast experience, cutting edge technology and professional involvement will bring the required and essential skills and knowledge that is second to none to ensure the success of VMD."

This development is fittingly timed with MEDIA-TECH conference, the renowned annual conference for the entire packaged media manufacturing industry which commences tomorrow in Barcelona, Spain. Dr. Levich will be joined by executives from six of the optical disc industry's leading companies during his presentation, including Axxicon, Dr. Schenk and Netstal, and open the floor for a public Q&A for inquiries from the audience. These partners have united with NME to drive the unique red laser-based technology and opportunity that VMD technology offers in the face of its blue laser-based competitors. Other industry partners such as Gima, Ilsemann and Tapematic also support VMD media production, packaging and printing.

The following executives will take part in the VMD panel:

 Dr. Andrew Dumbill, CTO, DaTARIUS

Mr. Michael Dobler, managing director of engineering, Dr. Schenk GmbH

Paul Ackermann, regional sales manager, Netstal Maschinen AG

"We are pleased that for the first time our partners are convening publicly to announce their support for the VMD technology and its potential," said Alexander Bolker-Hagerty, EVP, business development at NME.
