Componenta sells the Albin machine shop


Componenta has signed an agreement to sell the business operations of its
subsidiary, Componenta Albin AB in an MBO to its operative management
consisting of Antti Lehtonen, Director, Componenta, Managing Director Andreas
Falcini, CFO Ulf Lander and Production Manager Robert Johansson. The selling
price is EUR 14.3 million and Componenta will record a profit of about EUR 13
million on the sale. 

Componenta Albin is located in Kristinehamn, Sweden, and is specialized in the
manufacturing of gear wheel components mainly to automotive industry. In 2006
it had net sales of EUR 27.3 million and it employs 150 people. The machine
shop has been part of the Componenta Group since 1997. 

The operations of Componenta Albin will pass into the hands of its new owners
on 15 March 2007. Business operations will continue as before and the personnel
will retain their existing employee status. Andreas Falcini will continue as
Managing Director. 

The transaction is in line with Componenta's strategy of divesting non-core
businesses. Selling the operations of Albin machine shop will strengthen
Componenta's equity ratio, and improves its possibilities to concentrate on
developing the core business. 

HSH Corporate Finance has been retained as financial advisor to Componenta in
connection with the sale of Componenta Albin AB.
