Sirls...devised and executed a scheme and artifice to defraud clients...and co-workers at the Wachovia Securities office in Toledo, Ohio, and other individuals...(of approximately) $17,000,000 to $40,000,000 in money or property by means of false and fraudulent pretenses," by selling them fictitious investments, like fabricated stocks, bogus promissory notes, and non-existent real estate. Further, other Wachovia employees are suspected to have profited from Mr. Sirls' investment scam.
