ATLANTA, March 12, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Delta SkyMiles(r) members worldwide may now shop for Award Travel by viewing a monthly calendar of Award seat availability only at delta.com.
"With the new Award Calendar, SkyMiles members can shop for Award Travel with one quick glance on delta.com," said Jeff Robertson, managing director of the SkyMiles program. "The delta.com award calendar gives customers the very best view of Delta's award seat availability on our worldwide flights, and is another example of our efforts to advance the program and respond to customer requests."
To access the online Award Calendar, SkyMiles members should:
* Log into their SkyMiles account at delta.com/skymiles and click the Award Travel link * Enter their origin/destination, dates of travel, number of passengers and cabin preference * Click "Go" to see SkySaver and SkyChoice availability for each day of the month
This easy-to-use feature enables members to search for round-trip or one-way Award Travel and view all of Delta's Award seats for the entire month. The calendar -- also available on the French, German, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese versions of delta.com -- allows members to switch between First Class/BusinessElite( or Coach Class seats and view the same Award seat opportunities as Delta's reservation agents.
SkyMiles members may shop for Award Travel and hold Award reservations on delta.com to anywhere Delta-operated flights go, regardless of origin city. Members also will be able to make an Award Ticket reservation for all countries supported by delta.com.
Earlier this year, Delta improved SkyMiles Award offerings with the addition of combinable Awards, a new feature that allows global members to combine Coach, First Class/BusinessElite(r), SkySaver and SkyChoice travel into one Award Ticket and save thousands of miles in the process.
Later this year, SkyMiles members can look forward to additional online enhancements including the ability to:
* Search by mileage amount needed for an Award Ticket or by desired flight schedule * View departing and return calendars side-by-side saving them valuable search time * Shop for Award Tickets without being logged into their account * Shop for Award Travel on partner airlines
