Straumborg ehf., a company financially related to Brynja Halldórsdóttir, a board member of Kaupthing Bank hf., has today, 14 March 2007, closed a forward contract on the purchase of 500,000 shares in the bank. The company took over this contract on 29 December 2006, cf. announcement to the Iceland Stock Exchange of that date.
