'Win Movies For a Year' Brought to Georgia by DVD Rental Kiosk Leader TNR Entertainment in First-Of-Its-Kind Industry Promotion

365 Days of Movie Rentals Awarded Every Day for 45 Days in Promotion At 189 Supermarket and Grocery Store Kiosks in Georgia

HOUSTON, March 19, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Daily DVDs free for a year -- 45 days of chances to win 365 days of free movies -- is the appealing proposition behind a first-of-its-kind industry promotion by TNR Entertainment Corp., the nation's leading owner and operator of self-service DVD rental kiosks in supermarkets and grocery stores, running now through April 29, 2007 at 189 of its The New Release(tm) locations in Kroger stores throughout Georgia.

Every day of the promotion, one lucky shopper's name will be randomly chosen to receive free movies for a year. Shoppers can rent up to three movies per day. The winners will receive a New Release-branded Visa check card with $365, plus tax, pre-loaded. No purchase is necessary to enter and both new and existing New Release renters are welcome to participate. There are two ways to enter, either online at www.thenewrelease.com or with the mail-in entry form on flyers at TNR's rental kiosks.

"We wanted a fun, innovative and enticing way to introduce the concept of renting DVDs at our kiosks to more Georgia customers in the grocery channel. At the same, we wanted to offer substantial potential rewards to our existing customers, particularly those with multiple daily rentals," said Tony Sciolla, Chief Marketing Officer for TNR, parent company of The New Release. "This special promotion is a win for our Kroger and Publix partners as well, who benefit from what we expect will be greater traffic during the promotion. We know the winners will definitely be making additional trips for their daily DVDs."

Sciolla said the appeal of a year's worth of movies with the added convenience of renting DVDs at The New Release(tm) supermarket/grocery store kiosks was a powerful combination. He noted that the daily giveaways will be promoted through special kiosk signage, posters and flyers in store.

Shoppers can pickup an entry form at any of the The New Release(tm) kiosks in Kroger or Publix supermarkets in Atlanta, Augusta, Columbus, Macon, Marietta, Roswell, Savannah and many other locations in Georgia. For a complete listing of the Company's supermarket and grocery store locations, see the geographic search section of TNR's website, www.thenewrelease.com. TNR is also offering the promotion at its kiosks nationwide in such grocery chains as Dillon's, Food 4 Less, Food Lion, Fry's, H-E-B, Kroger, King Soopers, Publix, Quality Food Centers, Ralph's, Roundy's/Pick 'N Save, and Spartan/Family Fare.

TNR is currently underway on a significant national expansion program, expecting to double its current network of kiosks by the end of 2007. The New Release automated DVD rental kiosks provide supermarket customers with a more convenient one-stop shopping experience. As the Company's kiosks are being introduced in new markets, more consumers are able to enjoy renting the latest DVD titles for $1-a-day and no late fees -- a simple and affordable pricing structure that TNR was the first to successfully market. TNR's kiosks house up to 1,000 units each, representing more than 200 titles, including top new releases. The fully-automated kiosks operate on a wireless communications network and next-generation DVD kiosk operating system.

Privately-held TNR Entertainment, based in Houston, dominates the self-service DVD rental category in the grocery channel. Led by TNR's management team of CEO Richard B. Cohen and COO Jeff Karbowiak, the Company's aggressive growth plans call for continuing national expansion of its retail locations, well beyond the doubling of its kiosk network by this year end. TNR completed a capital infusion of $45 million last year to support this major effort.

Based in Houston, Texas, TNR Entertainment Corp. is backed by an institutional investor group including Celerity Partners, LP of Los Angeles; Chapton Partners, LP, a Houston family partnership; Laminar Direct Capital, LP, a member of the D.E. Shaw group of companies; and MCG Capital Corporation (Nasdaq:MCGC), a leading specialized financial services company and financial advisor.
