OritaniSavingsBank Charitable Foundation to Award Over $600,000 to Local Non-Profit Organizations


TOWNSHIP OF WASHINGTON, N.J., March 19, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- The OritaniSavingsBank Charitable Foundation plans to award over $600,000 in grants during 2007 to non-profit organizations throughout Bergen, Hudson and Passaic Counties in New Jersey. The Foundation has over $13 million in assets and will distribute grants based on applications submitted by non-profit organizations detailing how their programs address the Foundation's objective of improving the quality of life for residents in the three counties. The Foundation's focus is on programs supporting affordable housing, youth services, education and health and human services.

To apply for a grant, applicants are asked to submit a written request describing the initiative for which they are seeking support.
