Componenta initiates negotiations with the unions regarding a proposed
consolidation of Åmål and Främmestad machine shops

Componenta will initiate negotiations with the unions regarding a proposal to
consolidate the machine shop operations of Componenta Åmål to Componenta
Främmestad in Sweden. By the proposed consolidation the Group is targeting
long-term competitiveness through a larger unit size and effective operations.

Componenta Åmål was founded in 1935 and acquired by Componenta in 1994. It
currently employs 65 people.

Componenta Främmestad was founded in 1953. As from 1990 it has been one of the
Componenta business units. The machine shop employes 130 people. A modern
surface treatment plant was started at Främmestad in 2005. It boosted the whole
Group's competitive edge in the global market among suppliers of components to
heavy truck manufacturers.

Åmål and Främmestad are located quite close to each other, and both have the
main production focused on the heavy truck industry. The proposed consolidation
will generate more efficient value chains and a clearer specialization between
the Componenta production units.
