Yahoo! Telemundo Announces Content Distribution Agreement With The Wall Street Journal

NEW YORK, March 21, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Yahoo! Telemundo (yahootelemundo.com), a comprehensive and engaging online community for U.S. Hispanics, today announced a content distribution agreement to provide Spanish-language content from The Wall Street Journal Hispanic Edition to Yahoo! Telemundo's newly revamped news site. The articles will include specially edited Journal features on personal finance, health, small business, personal technology, travel and careers.

"We look forward to working with Yahoo! Telemundo to introduce its audience to The Wall Street Journal's renowned expertise and editorial perspective that no other publisher offers," said Jennifer Ametrano, managing director of sales for The Wall Street Journal, Latin America & US Hispanic. "This is consistent with our strategy of extending our premier content and brands to new audiences across all channels that consumers desire," added Tim DeSoto, licensing manager for The Wall Street Journal.

Select articles from several sections in The Wall Street Journal, including the Weekend Journal, Personal Journal and Marketplace, will appear on Yahoo! In Tu Dinero, users will be able to find practical information on a wide array of finance topics that impact their everyday life, from career advice to tips on managing one's credit or finding leisure activities when on a budget. These articles, translated and adapted for the Hispanic market, add a new dimension to the content offerings of Yahoo! Telemundo Finanzas through the unique insight and analysis from The Wall Street Journal.

"We are excited to be able to provide our millions of users with content from one of the most respected news organizations in the world." said Jose Rivera Font, general manager, Yahoo! Telemundo as the definitive source of news for all Hispanics," added Peter Blacker, senior vice president, Digital Media, Telemundo Network Group.
