Two Harrisburg Business Leaders Invited to Participate in Wharton Economic Summit


HARRISBURG, Pa., March 22, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Two Harrisburg area business leaders, Derek C. Hathaway and John Resnick, have been invited to participate in the prestigious Wharton Economic Summit in Philadelphia on April 12 and 13, organized by the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Mr. Hathaway will participate in a panel discussion with other leading business executives on the formation and implementation of successful competitive strategies. Mr. Hathaway serves as Chairman and CEO of Harsco Corporation (NYSE:HSC), the worldwide industrial services company headquartered in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania. Under his leadership, Harsco has grown to become a $3.4 billion global company with operations in 46 countries and more than 21,500 employees worldwide.

Mr. Resnick is the creator and host of the nationally syndicated radio program, Legends of Success with John Resnick, which is carried by over 80 affiliates and 58 digital cable television systems (audio channels) in the United States. He is also a nationally recognized business succession and estate planner. Mr. Resnick has been invited to moderate two of the Summit's keynote addresses, including one featuring well-known financier and philanthropist Michael Milken.

This year's Wharton Economic Summit, only the second to be produced, will climax the Wharton School's 125th anniversary celebration as the world's first collegiate school of business. The event is expected to draw more than 1,000 participants from throughout the U.S. and international business community, academia and government.
