Advanced Medical Isotopes to Deliver Isotopes to Kadlec Medical Center

KENNEWICK, Wash., March 26, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Advanced Medical Isotopes Corporation (AMIC) (Pink Sheets:ADMD) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Kadlec Medical Center as a precursor step to formal contract discussions for the supply of short-lived radio-isotopes primarily used in Positron Emission Tomography(PET) and other diagnostic imaging applications.

AMIC Chief Science Officer Dr. Robert Schenter stated, "With the recently announced (March 13, 2007) purchase of North America's first Pulsar PET Isotope Production System, a cost-effective linear accelerator, this initial arrangement with Kadlec Medical Center as an anchor customer is an opportunity for our company as well as for our local community to showcase that our area is fast mobilizing to become the Isotope capital of the world. The vast knowledge and utilization of our local scientific community strategically puts both a local company and the local area in the limelight, enhancing the international reputation of being a 'world leader' in medical isotope production and treatment."

AMIC is a Kennewick based company that is engaged in the development of advanced production systems and processes, bringing previously unavailable major diagnostic and therapeutic medical isotopes to the marketplace for local product production. AMIC expects production of medical isotopes to commence in Q3 of 2007.

AMIC CEO William Stokes stated, "This arrangement with Kadlec Medical Center as our anchor customer is a fantastic opportunity for our company and our local area for the continued development of a Tri-Cites based isotope industry. We want to expressly thank Kadlec's willingness to support a local company and allows AMIC to continue our agenda for the utilization of the vast knowledge and expertise in our scientific community."

About AMIC

Advanced Medical Isotopes Corporation is engaged in the development of advanced production systems and processes for bringing previously unavailable medical isotopes to the marketplace and advancing systems for local product production. The field of nuclear medicine has routinely utilized radioisotopes in the diagnosis of disease while new processes are being pioneered for the targeted treatment of diseases such as cancer in preference to surgical techniques. Advanced Medical Isotopes Corporation products support the accessibility to these less invasive therapeutic processes by advancing systems for lower cost production and improving supply availability of medical isotopes to hospitals and clinical treatment centers.
