no 22/07 Report on information disclosure and possible insider trading on 14 February 2007


Nord Pool market surveillance has concluded an investigation related to issues around decisions taken by the Swedish Nuclear Power Inspectorate, SKI, regarding Forsmark.

On 14 February 2007 SKI (the Swedish Nuclear Power Inspectorate) stated in a press release decisions taken on Forsmark nuclear power plant. This included information that influenced on the time Forsmark 2 would re-enter the market. Such information is, according to Norwegian law (the Securities Trading Act) and the trading rules at Nord Pool ASA and Nord Pool Spot AS, deemed to be defined as insider information.

The investigation has focused on three issues:
 - The information published by Forsmark and Vattenfall (as majority owner, and responsible for the information disclosure)

 - Whether any insider trading has been conducted

 - In which manner the information has been published by SKI
