Delta Prepared for a Fast Break, Spring Break Weekend in Atlanta

Customers reminded to check in online and arrive early for travel this weekend


ATLANTA, March 30, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Delta Air Lines is rolling out the red carpet for more than 1.5 million Delta customers who are expected to fly to, from or through Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport through Monday. With more than 90 percent of the airline's seats sold this weekend, Delta is adding staffing and opening all check-in lanes and kiosks to accommodate increased traffic related to the NCAA Men's Final Four tournament in Atlanta and peak Spring Break travel.

"It's rare to have so many people departing and arriving into the same city at once, but our redesigned Atlanta lobby is configured to accommodate additional customer traffic making it easier than ever for customers to travel through Delta's flagship hub this spring," said Greg Kennedy, Delta's vice president of customer service at Hartsfield-Jackson. "We're ready, we're excited and we're pumped to welcome more than a million Delta customers to our hometown of Atlanta this weekend."

Customers traveling through Atlanta are reminded to arrive to the airport early and take advantage of Delta's added services to speed their trip through the airport. Customers can now:


 * Check in online and print boarding passes at delta.com;
 * Utilize any of Delta's convenient check-in areas, including new
   South Terminal lower-level check-in, Delta's dedicated MARTA
   check-in counter at the Airport station; or any of Delta's 75 self
   check-in kiosks located throughout Hartsfield-Jackson, now featuring
   full functionality for international flights;
 * Check baggage quickly and efficiently through Delta's new self-drop
   baggage counters; and
 * Enjoy new Relax and Recharge stations throughout the airport for
   recharging laptops and other electronic devices on the go.

In addition to transporting spectators to Atlanta for the Final Four this weekend, Delta also will play the distinct role of returning all Final Four teams to their campuses via special charter flights this Sunday and Monday.
