NOTIFICATION OF CHANGE IN HOLDINGS UNDER CHAPTER 2, SECTION 10 OF
THE FINNISH SECURITIES MARKET ACT


Biotie Therapies Corp. has today gained knowledge of the following
notification under Chapter 2, Section 9 of the Finnish Securities
Market Act regarding a change in holdings:

Finnish Industry Investment Ltd (Business identity code 1007806-3)
has informed the company the holdings of Finnish Industry
Investment Ltd represent less than one tenth (1/10) of the voting
rights and share capital in Biotie Therapies Corp.

The holdings of Finnish Industry Investment Ltd constitute
8.702.189 shares, i.e., 9.72 % of the voting rights and share
capital in Biotie Therapies Corp.

The share capital of Biotie Therapies Corp. constitutes 89,530,660
shares in the aggregate and the number of voting rights attached
to the shares amounts to 89,530,660.
