Harsco's Huennebeck Division Secures Projected $4.6 Million in Formwork Orders On New Arena in Poland

New Orders Underscore Harsco's Growing Access Services Presence in Eastern Europe

HARRISBURG, Pa., April 3, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Worldwide industrial services company Harsco Corporation (NYSE:HSC) announced today that its Huennebeck Group division has been awarded new rental formwork orders valued at up to $4.6 million (3.5 million euros) to support the construction of a new sports and entertainment arena in Poland, as Harsco's Access Services business group continues to increase its presence in key growth sectors of the Eastern Europe construction and infrastructure market.

The striking architectural design of the new arena, being built in Lodz, Poland's second largest city, draws upon Huennebeck's extensive technical expertise and range of advanced, highly engineered formwork equipment systems for cast-in-place concrete construction. A particularly complex part of the job is the pouring of the 24 foot tall piers which will ultimately carry the hall roof. Because of its unusual column design, two different Huennebeck formwork systems are being used to shape and support the multi-dimensional concrete towers. Additional Huennebeck formwork systems are being used in the project's foundations, walls, and seating areas. The new arena is scheduled for completion in late 2008-early 2009, and will feature state-of-the-art acoustics and a scalable interior that can be adjusted for special events and smaller performances.

Acquired by Harsco in November 2005, Huennebeck is one of Europe's largest providers of highly engineered concrete formwork and scaffolding services for non-residential construction projects. The acquisition, which has been accretive to Harsco's earnings since its inception, further accelerates the strategic growth of Harsco's market-leading Access Services segment, which in addition to Huennebeck also includes the international SGB Group division and the North America-based Patent division. The three complementary Harsco Access Services businesses operate from an extensive global network of more than 200 rental, sale and service branches in 30 countries.

Harsco Corporation is one of the world's leading diversified industrial services companies, serving major customers in the non-residential construction, steel and metals, energy and railway industries. The Company posted 2006 revenues of $3.4 billion and employs approximately 21,500 people worldwide. Harsco's common stock is a component of the S&P MidCap 400 Index and the Russell 1000 Index.
