CLAREMONT, Calif., April 9, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Kiwa Bio-Tech Products Group Corporation (OTCBB:KWBT) announced that the Company's wholly owned subsidiary, Kiwa Bio-Tech Products (Shandong) Co., Ltd. (Kiwa Shandong), has successfully acquired administrative approval of two fertilizer certificates.
On April 5th, Shandong Provincial Soil and Fertilizer Station authorized Kiwa (Shandong)'s application of follow-up registration of two fertilizer registration certificates. The two fertilizer registration certificates are: (1) a new fertilizer registration certificate that is in compliance with new industrial standards. According to the water flush fertilizer industrial standards issued by China Agriculture Department in the fourth quarter of 2006 and requirements of the local fertilizer administrative department, a new certificate should be acquired to replace the old one in compliance with company standards; (2) a fertilizer registration certificate for organic fertilizer. At the end of 2005, Kiwa Shandong has acquired a temporary fertilizer registration certificate for its organic fertilizer products. Pursuant to rules and regulations in the fertilizer administration of China, Kiwa Shandong is eligible for a formal fertilizer registration certificate after field demonstrative testing and test market.
