InterDent and Gentle Dental University Bring Home Two Awards From Empowerment 2007

First Place Win for Best Marketing Campaign Brings in $2500


VANCOUVER, Wash., April 9, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- InterDent Service Corporation, a leading provider of dental practice management services, won two awards at Empowerment 2007, a training conference sponsored by Learn.com. The company won first place for the Best Marketing Campaign and a second place award in the Best LearnCenter Web site design.

The award ceremony was held at Harbor Beach Marriott Resort and Spa in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. on March 20th. Director of Education, Maureen Winningham accepted both awards for the company and a check on InterDent's behalf for $2500 that accompanied the first place Best Marketing Campaign award. There were more than 250 learning professionals at the conference.

Winningham plans to use the $2500 as a training incentive for the 130 Gentle Dental affiliates. Between April and November, the affiliated dental offices exceeding defined educational goals will receive cash stipends with which to fund additional education-related programs of their choosing.

Gentle Dental University, the company's learning resource, offers more than 60 instructor-led educational opportunities, as well as more than 230 e-learning modules covering topics including practice management, periodontics, aesthetics, dental hygiene and restorative techniques, as well as Microsoft Office courses. Its e-learning modules run eight to 15 minutes long. The dental practice modules consist of 3D animations, voice over, graphics and text of new clinical techniques that dentists, dental assistants or hygienists can put to use immediately.
