Delta Welcomes Global Customers to More Spacious, State-of-the-Art Lobby At Atlanta Hub

Airport improvements make room for biggest summer schedule in Delta's history -- more than 1,060 peak day departures


ATLANTA, April 10, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Delta customers traveling through Atlanta this spring and summer will experience more space, increased convenience and added efficiency thanks to state-of-the-art self-service technology throughout Delta's newly completed check-in lobby at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. The $26 million renovation supports Delta's commitment to providing customer-focused technology along with helpful, personal service as it continues to expand its global reach from its largest hub.

The redesigned Atlanta lobby helps accommodate our growing customer base with a more efficient check-in process so they can quickly travel through Delta's flagship hub with ease."

With these improvements, Delta customers will enjoy:


 * An innovative new check-in environment, featuring 12,500 square feet
   of open space that welcomes approximately 25,000 customers daily

 * Multiple "Baggage Drop" areas to speed customers using either
   online or kiosk check-in through the lobby and on to their flights

 * Dynamic, multi-lingual signage throughout the lobby for
   at-a-glance information in English and Spanish, expanding to seven
   languages later this year

 * Helpful audio customer messaging in English and Spanish in concert
   with vivid, full-color screen displays

 * Twenty-six additional self-service kiosks that assist approximately
   8,500 domestic and international customers daily

Throughout the Atlanta airport, Delta customers also have access to industry-leading recharge stations for electronic devices on concourses T, A and B; more contemporary, spacious and comfortable gate areas being installed on all concourses; and improved retail, food and beverage concessions.

Delta's flagship hub at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport is the world's largest airline hub and is home to Delta's largest international operation offering customers flights to 70 international destinations in 45 countries. This summer, Delta will also be adding new flights between Atlanta and Dubai, Arab Emirates; Prague, Czech Republic; Seoul, South Korea(1); and Vienna, Austria. Delta Connection carrier Atlantic Southeast Airline also will add new international service to George Town, Exuma and North Eleuthera in the Bahamas.
