Staff Appointments to Support Increased Growth in Association of Energy Services Professionals

PHOENIX, April 11, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- The Association of Energy Services Professionals (www.aesp.org) began a new era on April 2 with the addition of staff solely dedicated to AESP and its members. In the past, AESP has been staffed by contractors who have provided support to the Association while also working for other energy-industry organizations.

"Our association has experienced tremendous growth in the past year, and the board concurred that the time was right to turn the daily management of AESP over to professional employees versus contract staff," said AESP Chairman Paul DeCotis (Director of Energy Analysis at the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority). "We feel the interests of AESP are best served by attracting talented employees who are exclusively focused on the success of our Association."

Meg Matt, who had previously been managing AESP through her company The Matt Group, has now moved into a full-time role as President and CEO of the Association. AESP has experienced an increase in membership and overall brand awareness under her leadership. Matt was also instrumental in acquiring staff to help meet the needs of the growing membership. Matt's focus will be on strategic positioning and thought leadership for the Association, as well as overall management of AESP.

Daniel Merchant was appointed Senior Vice President of Member Relations. Merchant has served the needs of the energy efficiency and demand-side management side of the energy industry for over 25 years. His focus will be to develop and nurture relationships with AESP's members and corporate sponsors.

Kisha Gresham was appointed Vice President of Marketing and Communications. Gresham has served in the industry for over ten years. She will primarily be responsible for the Association's marketing and communications efforts, as well as coordinating the logistics for AESP's three annual conferences: The AESP Spring Conference, The AESP Technology Symposium and its premier event, The National Energy Services Conference and Expo.

Claudia Huss will serve as AESP's Vice President of Operations. Huss, who has worked for AESP for over a year, will continue to oversee the financial reporting and database administration for the Association. She will also continue to serve as the primary administrative contact for AESP members.
