MARIMEKKO CORPORATION'S ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING ON 12 APRIL 2007; REVIEW BY PRESIDENT KIRSTI PAAKKANEN

According to an estimate to be presented by President Paakkanen to Marimekko    
Corporation's Annual General Meeting commencing today at 14:00, the company's   
exports will continue to grow well during the current year. She comments on the 
company's estimate of the outlook for 2007, presented when the financial        
statements for 2006 were released, as follows:                                  

"Trends in Marimekko's exports continued to be favourable during the first      
quarter of the year. Strong growth continued as anticipated. Trends in domestic 
sales were slightly weaker than expected. Consequently, sales growth during the 
first quarter was somewhat less than predicted by the company." However,        
according to Paakkanen, there is no need to make any adjustments to the         
company's earlier estimate of growth in full-year net sales.
