LOS ANGELES, April 12, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Sunnylife Global, Inc. (Pink Sheets:SNYL) announced today that their Xiang Tan World Friendship Hospital in Hunan Province of China has passed the Government's inspection and has been approved as one of the designated hospitals for the National Basic Healthcare Insurance Program.
Sunnylife Global was the first American company to be granted a business license by the Chinese Government to operate a hospital in the Peoples Republic of China in March 2006. In May 2006, the Company announced a historical milestone in the turnover ceremony of the Xiang Tan World Friendship Hospital to Sunnylife Global. Since May, the Xiang Tan World Friendship Hospital's mission has been a focus to accomplish recognition as a hospital in China to reach international standards. After passing the Government inspection, it is now one of the designated hospitals for the National Basic Healthcare Insurance Program.
The basic concept of designated hospitals is: the Government and major enterprises will pay the insurance premium to the Chinese Ministry of Labor and Social Security, who will then screen and determine which hospitals will be designated to provide medical service to the insured in China.
As a result of this designation of the Xiang Tan World Friendship Hospital by the Ministry of Labor, the hospital expects to attract a large number of members from different provinces of China. The Company projects it will annually treat an additional 200,000 out-patients, 4,000 in-patients and 1,500 operations. The Company conservatively estimates its annual earnings to increase by 30%. This will be in addition to the projected $20 million in revenues from the government employees enrolled as members in its Health Management System under the terms of Sunnylife's existing contract with the government. The initial membership fee will be used for the construction of the out-patient and in-patient general building, and purchase of new medical equipment.
