ÅF - ÅF wins 3,5 million euro consulting contract for a biomass power plant project in Tartu, Estonia

ÅF has been awarded a large consulting project in a new combined heat
and power plant in Tartu, Estonia. This contract strengthens ÅF's
position further as the leading engineering consultant for power
plants in North Europe. The consulting project will be carried out by
ÅF's Estonian and Finnish units.

AS Fortum Tartu, the district heating company operating in Tartu,
will invest in a new biomass power plant in Tartu. The plant will use
biofuels and peat as fuels. The capacity of the power plant will be
52 MW heat and 25 MW electricity. This efficient cogeneration plant
will replace oil and gas fuelled heat-only boilers. The power plant
is scheduled to be in operation already by the end of 2008.

ÅF's consulting assignment comprises of project management,
construction supervision and engineering design of the power plant.
