Witness This Realistic Portrayal of a Man Suffering From An Insidious Disease -- Author Evan Wechman Gives a Painful Real Glimpse Into the World of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder

GARNERVILLE, N.Y., April 18, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- An accident triggers an anxiety in a young boy that would change himself and his life forever. Follow his fascinating story and his struggle with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) in Love and Madness, the touching new book written by Evan Wechman.

Love and Madness is a short, tightly written novella chronicling the life of an Obsessive Compulsive individual from childhood to adulthood. It follows his descent into madness and his struggle to return to his once healthy self and find peace, love, and understanding in a cruel and unsympathetic world. Though fictional, it is a realistic portrait of a man suffering from a disease that just won't let go. It is also a dark romance in which the main character is obsessed and tortures with thoughts of a long lost love -- a love that would further lure him deeper into madness.

About the Author

Evan Wechman grew up and resides in New York State. He holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Delaware and has always had an exuberance for writing. He is a long time sufferer of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and has constantly fought against the negative stigmas attached to the mentally ill. In 2005, he launched a campaign against derogatory stereotypes associated with the television show MONK. He had an article published regionally regarding the subject and spoke with different lawmakers to spread the work. He hopes that his novel adds another perspective to the discussion of the disease.
