Finnish Road Administration chooses Affecto to be the operator of the national
road and street database, Digiroad 
			
The Finnish Road Administration has chosen IT service company Affecto to be the
operator of the national road and street database, Digiroad. Affecto provides
the maintenance, customer service and development of Digiroad for the Finnish
Road Administration. Digiroad is a national database which contains precise and
accurate data on the location of all roads and streets in Finland as well as
their most important physical features. It covers total of 430,000 km or
270,000 miles. The Digiroad database is used by authorities and companies that
provide their customers with applications and services based on such data. 
 
The value of the three year agreement signed by the Finnish Road Administration
and Affecto is EUR 1.2 million at minimum and it includes two optional years.
The Finnish Road Administration chose Affecto to be the operator based on a
national bidding contest.
