LAS VEGAS, April 19, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Soy Environmental Products, Inc. (Pink Sheets:SYVR) announced today the Company has appointed Kenneth R. Allen as President. Mr. Allen is an entrepreneur who started and managed several companies. These companies have been providing technology and consulting services to hazardous process industries for over 27 years.
Early in his career, Mr. Allen established a software application business that provided maintenance management software for the electric utility and manufacturing industries. The business grew to $6.5 million in revenues in four years and was eventually sold to American Software. Later, he repositioned another maintenance management software firm, Tenera, LLC and moved their failing business to a new market. Mr. Allen developed a new customer at the New York Metro Transit Authority and launched an updated product into the transportation market. The business was successful and was ultimately spun out as an independent company, Speer Technology, Inc.
In the early 1990's, Mr. Allen started a technology company that provided high performance digital signal processing systems. The company was based on a Fast Fourier Transform computer chip (FFT) manufactured by Sharp MicroTechnology, Inc. The company grew to over $2.5 million dollars over three years and was then sold to Sharp. Most recently, Mr. Allen started MetaPower as a management consulting firm providing business process management services. In 2001, the company changed its focus to technology when it partnered with a major client to use MetaPower's business process management experience to develop the UCoDA technology.
