SWECO acquires leading consultancy in Czech Republic

SWECO has signed an agreement to acquire the Czech consulting company
Hydroprojekt CZ with 270 employees. Through the acquisition, SWECO will
strengthen its position in the growth markets of Central and Eastern Europe.

Hydroprojekt CZ is one of the Czech Republic's largest multidisciplinary
consulting companies with services in areas such as water and wastewater
treatment, hydropower and environmental engineering. The company is a
market-leader in its area and is also active in the Slovak Republic and Russia.

”Hydroprojekt CZ is an ideal complement for SWECO, both geographically and in
terms of core expertise. The acquisition will give us a strong position in the
Czech Republic and a new home market in Central Europe, as well as consolidating
our market position in water and environment,” says Mats Wäppling, Managing
Director and CEO SWECO.

SWECO is already one of Europe's foremost providers of consulting services in
water and environment, and will have a total of around 1,000 consultants working
in this area after the acquisition.

Hydroprojekt CZ was founded in 1954 and is headquartered in Prague, with local
offices in Brno, Ostrava and České Budějovice and international offices in the
Slovak Republic and St. Petersburg, Russia.

SWECO has previously established operations in the growth markets of Central and
Eastern Europe. With the addition of Hydroprojekt, SWECO will have some 750
consultants in this region. For more information contact:
