Xlibris Releases Tragic Hero -- New Book Tells the Tragic True Story of Willow Kincaid, a Public High School Teacher Who Became a Victim of Injustice, Unfairness and Prejudice

RESTON, Va., April 20, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Inequality, prejudice and injustice continue to hound people's lives as well as corrupt civilization. For author and public school teacher Willow Kincaid, life became a living hell when she was falsely suspected by her administration, suspended from her position and sustained a police raid on her home. At the end of her teaching contract, the school superintendent demanded her resignation and threatened to revoke her teaching license despite the fact that no charges were ever filed. In her quest to set the truth and records straight, Kincaid presents her own side of the events by publishing her new book Tragic Hero: A Teacher Accused, released through Xlibris. Her campaign for justice begins!

The text is a factual account of a public high school teacher who is accused of having an "inappropriate relationship" with a student. The author wrote the events as she chronologically experienced them, which should leave the reader with some of the same unanswered questions she had. However, subsequent events (related in books Two and Three) answer questions for the readers in the same manner in which they were answered for Kincaid. Told from various peoples' points of view, this book has the characteristics of a mystery novel as it is filled with clues and evidence that invite the reader to decipher the truth. The innovative addition of graphics throughout the pages establishes character and reinforces the book's credibility.

Geared towards mature readers due to its explicit content, Tragic Hero is a deeply striking story that will stimulate your thoughts and stir your emotions. More importantly, this book brings to life a look at the injustices perpetuated at the hands of authority, the annihilation of good intentions, the misinterpretation of love, the scape-goating of public servants, and much, much more. Without a doubt Tragic Hero deserves your attention and you are guaranteed to be captivated from word one. About the Author

Willow Kincaid is no stranger to the school environment. Attending six educational institutions prior to high school graduation, she acquired 167 credits from five different colleges before finally attaining a teaching certificate in May 1998. Kincaid started the required student teaching portion of her program in August that same year. At the end of the first quarter, a sudden vacancy at the school provided her with compensated employment. After a year of traversing the x axis of a learning curve, which included teaching classes so unruly that a student's seizure was interpreted as a joke and going to court as the plaintiff against a student who threatened to kill her, she was compelled to move to a new district. Teacher shortages afforded Kincaid a range of offers. In one county alone she was offered employment at four different high schools. The place the author ultimately chose was the one which felt like home. Six years later that home turned against her in the kind of unimaginable manner only seen in movies.
