Autoliv Receives Four Ford World Excellence Awards

(Auburn Hills, Mich., April 20, 2007) - Autoliv Inc. (NYSE:ALV and SSE:ALIV),
worldwide leader in automotive safety, today announced it has received four 2006
Ford Motor Company World Excellence Awards. Ford's World Excellence Awards are
given to its global suppliers to acknowledge their exemplary performance in
2006. More than 150 people, including repre¬sentatives from Ford's largest
production and non-production global suppliers, attended the ninth annual awards
event at the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Mich. on April 17, 2007.

The World Excellence Awards recognize suppliers who achieve the highest levels
of quality and delivery at the lowest cost, while also affirming the diverse
cultures, values, and ideas of the thousands of individuals they employ. "We are proud to have received not just one but four of these prestigious awards
given by the Ford Motor Company,” said Stefan Kronung, Vice President, Autoliv
Ford Global Business. ”It is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our
Ford team as well as our 42,000 global associates. These awards demonstrate that
Autoliv is a true worldwide leader in automotive safety."

Autoliv was awarded honors in the Gold, Silver and Recognition of Achievement
categories. The Gold and Silver Awards are given to suppliers that excel in
quality, cost and delivery. The Recogni¬tion of Achievement Award is given to
suppliers that impact customer satisfaction by providing significant
contributions in key areas: New Consumer-Focused Technology, Consumer-Driven Six
Sigma, Durability and Reliability Performance, Corporate Responsibility, and
Diversity and Com¬munity Service. Autoliv was one of six suppliers that received
the Recognition of Achievement Award.
