Trademark Litigator Kathleen McCarthy Joins King & Spalding

NEW YORK, NY -- (MARKET WIRE) -- April 25, 2007 -- King & Spalding, a leading international law firm, announced today that Kathleen E. "Katie" McCarthy, an intellectual property lawyer with an extensive background in copyright and trademark litigation and unfair competition law, has joined the firm's trademark litigation practice as a partner in the firm's New York office.

McCarthy joins King & Spalding from Morgan & Finnegan LLP, where she was a partner. She represents clients in the areas of copyright, trademark and false advertising litigation. She also provides clients in various business sectors, including multimedia and luxury goods, with licensing and due diligence work, opinion practice, management of worldwide trademark portfolios, as well as trademark searching, clearance and prosecution.

McCarthy earned a B.A. degree in Psychology at The College of the Holy Cross and a J.D. degree at Columbia University School of Law.
