Alm. Brand Bank A/S has received a syndicated loan facility of EUR 475 million,
equivalent to DKK 3.5 billion, through 21 international banks.
The syndicated loan facility was arranged in a collaboration between Danske
Bank, DnB Nor ASA, HSH Nordbank AG and Skandinaviske Enskilda Banken AB.
The loan will be partly used to fund the growth of Alm. Brand Bank and partly
to repay an ex-isting syndicated loan. The existing loan is being repaid
because Alm. Brand Bank has been offered significantly better loan terms than
before.
The attractive loan terms offered to Alm. Brand Bank demonstrate the great
confidence of the participating banks in the Alm. Brand Group in general and in
Alm. Brand Bank A/S in particular.
Alm. Brand Bank continues to achieve the objectives defined in 2005. Growth in
the provi-sion of home loans, agriculture, investment property and car finance
continues. In 2007, the number of business areas will be expanded. Through the
Group's branch network, the bank will focus on small and medium-sized business
enterprises.
The Group's dobbeltKUNDE concept has made a substantial contribution to the
growth of Alm. Brand Bank and is expected to be the driving force in the
continued growth. Historically, many customers have exploited the favourable
deposit rates offered by Alm. Brand Bank and as an increasing number of
customers have become aware of the great benefits of choosing Alm. Brand Bank
as their principal banker, the bank's activity level has risen significantly.
