KMA Announces RFID Deal Estimated At $3 Million

MISSISSAUGA, Ontario, April 30, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- KMA Global Solutions International, Inc. (OTCBB:KMAG) (Frankfurt:VVS) today announced its first major Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) deal, valued at nearly $3 million. KMA, in conjunction with Vimach Inc., has structured a one-year agreement with MTM to outfit more than a million fixed asset units with permanent RFID identification, along with combination RFID/Barcode readers as part of the management program for a new billboard advertising program.

A major European supplier of temporary portable toilet services for large outdoor events has developed a means of turning clusters of portable toilet units into large billboard-type advertising media. Matching advertising units and portable toilet units numbering into the millions, necessary for calculating "exposure units," proved to be a significant challenge. It became necessary to develop a more sophisticated asset management system. KMA RFID solutions proved to be the answer.

KMA will be supplying more than two million high-frequency RFID tags to be permanently fixed within each portable unit. In addition, KMA will be supplying approximately 1,000 hand held reader units, capable of communicating not only with the RFID tags, but also able to read a barcode appearing on each advertising media piece allowing seamless management of the combined asset.

Jeffrey D. Reid, CEO of KMA Global Solutions International, Inc., said, "RFID is a field that has been showing promise in a number of areas for many years. Today, we see it in the supply chain helping to manage the movement of consumer goods, as well as keeping track of valuable fixed assets." Mr. Reid went on to say, "This is an exciting application as it not only delivers the solution our customer has been seeking, but pushes the boundaries of RFID usage into a new and exciting area, supporting a new business model. We believe that we can build on the concepts realized here, to deliver other equally exciting solutions to others."
