Soy Environmental Products, Inc. Appoints John Prouty as Vice President of Product Development


LAS VEGAS, May 1, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Soy Environmental Products, Inc. (Pink Sheets:SYVR) announced today that the Company has appointed Mr. John Prouty as Vice President of Product Development. Mr. Prouty has over 33 years of experience in the areas of application development, project management and software implementation.

Mr. Prouty has direct experience developing and managing application development projects, as well as customizing and implementing applications at client sites. He has managed and led the analysis, design and development of both materials management and work management applications that have been utilized by the transit, utility, manufacturing and facilities maintenance industries. He also managed the customizing and interfacing applications for various clients' installations, including the analysis and design activities and overseeing the development, testing, and acceptance by the client. Currently Mr. Prouty is responsible for the design and implementation of a Web-based process engine for the custom implementation of work processes at four client sites.

Mr. Prouty is the co-author of "Method and Apparatus for Process Design," Patent No. 6,768,984 and co-author of "The Science of Change." In 1977, Mr. Prouty attended the University of Oregon where he attained his bachelor's degree in Computer Science, with a minor in Mathematics.
