„Apranga” expands the young fashion chain


On 4 May, Apranga Group, the leader of clothing retail in Lithuania and the Baltic States, opens another store of young fashion in the centre of Vilnius, Gedimino ave. 24 - the fourth Bershka store in Lithuania. Bershka is a meeting point of street fashion, music and art. New store will present clothes, accessories and footwear for girls and boys in the area of 500 sq. m.

Bershka concept belongs to the leading retailer in the world market Inditex. Inditex group develops eight independent concepts: Zara, Bershka, Pull & Bear, Massimo Dutti, Stradivarius, Kiddy's Class, Oysho and Zara Home. Bershka was created in 1998 as a new store and fashion concept from Inditex, aimed at a younger target market. It now has 445 stores in 27 countries. Bershka is the fastest growing concept of Inditex after Zara.

Apranga Group has already launched 17 stores this year. 7 of these opening are young fashion stores. The turnover of Apranga Group has made LTL 30.2 million (EUR 8.8 million) in April 2007, increasing by 38.5% in comparison to April 2006. The turnover of Apranga Group retail chain has made LTL 122 million (EUR 35.3 million) in January through April 2007, or by 53.1% more than in corresponding period of 2006.

The company is owned by the MG Baltic concern.
