Entropic Communications Adds VP Corporate Development and General Counsel to Management Team


SAN DIEGO, May 7, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Entropic Communications, a leader in home networking for digital entertainment, today announced that Lance Bridges has joined the company as its vice president of corporate development and general counsel. Lance was formerly partner with the law firm of Cooley Godward Kronish in San Diego, where he also served as Entropic's outside counsel. In this new role, Lance will utilize his extensive background in emerging growth companies, intellectual property strategy, and corporate securities to further establish Entropic Communications' leadership in the connected home entertainment market.

Lance started with Cooley in 1991 and has been focused on general business and corporate law with an emphasis in financing transactions and representing emerging growth companies. He was selected for the 2006 edition of The Best Lawyers in America in the Leveraged Buyouts and Private Equity Law category and the 2007 edition in the Corporate Law category.

Lance is a member of the State Bar of California and Business Law section of the American Bar Association. He received his law degree from University of California, Berkeley School of Law (Boalt Hall) while concurrently obtaining his M.B.A. in finance and strategic planning from the Walter A Haas School of Business Administration, University of California, Berkeley in 1990. While at UC Berkeley, Lance was elected to the Order of the Coif and was associate editor of the California Law Review. Prior to obtaining his advanced degrees, he worked as a financial analyst and registered securities representative for a regional investment-banking firm. Lance also holds a B.A. in economics from the University of California, San Diego where he graduated with honors and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
